Nirvana - Jesus Don't Want Me For A Sunbeam

This song is by the influential grunge band Nirvana, taken from their legendary performance at the MTV Unplugged Concert in New York in the year 1994. This is one of my favourite concerts of all time and all the songs are performed using only acoustic instruments. Actually, this is a cover of the song by a band known as The Vaselines, but this on is still very good. It's a bit different from the other songs I post. Hope you enjoy.

Jesus, don't want me for a sunbeam
Sunbeams are never made like me (Alt: Sunbeams are laughing at me)
Don't expect me to cry,
For all the reasons you had to die
Don't ever ask your love of me
Don't expect me to cry
Don't expect me to lie
Don't expect me to die for thee
Jesus, don't want me for a sunbeam
Sunbeams are never made like me (Alt: Sunbeams are laughing at me)
Don't expect me to cry,
For all the reasons you had to die
Don't ever ask your love of me
(x2)
Don't expect me to cry
Don't expect me to lie
Don't expect me to die for thee
Jesus, don't want me for a sunbeam
Sunbeams are never made like me (Alt: Sunbeams are laughing at me)
Don't expect me to cry,
For all the reasons you had to die
Don't ever ask your love of me
Don't expect me to cry
Don't expect me to lie
Don't expect me to die
Don't expect me to cry
Don't expect me to lie
Don't expect me to die for thee

The Shortest Song Ever Recorded!

"You Suffer" is a song by the British grindcore band Napalm Death, from their debut album Scum. The song has earned a place in the Guiness Book of World Records as the shortest recorded song ever, clocking in at precisely 1.3016 seconds and consist entirely of the lyrics "You suffer but why?", although it is very difficult to hear.
Please view this and let me know how you liked it (if at all, that is!)

This song by Hoobastank is undoubtedly their most successful number. I was (and maybe am) in love with this song. Do listen to it and let me know if you like it. The video starts in a confusing manner but get to the end of it to comprehend it.

Metallica - One

I don't know why I am posting this so late. I ought to have posted this waaaaaay earlier. Anyways, here it is now for all of you to view and see (and hopefully enjoy!). This song, one of Metallica's most famous (and awesome), is from their groundbreaking album And Justice For All and this was the first music video they ever made. The song's theme is based on Dalton Trumbo's 1939 novel Johnny Got His Gun. It is based on the story of a soldier whose body was severely damaged after he was hit by German artillery during World War I. His arms, legs, eyes, mouth, nose and ears were gone and he could not see, speak, smell, or hear; but his mind functions perfectly, leaving him a prisoner in his own body. The video, shot in Long Beach, CA, is almost entirely in black and white, and features the band performing the song in a warehouse. It features dialogue and several scenes from the 1971 film adaptation of Johnny Got His Gun. Once again, I am posting the lyrics below.

I Can't Remember Anything
Can't Tell If this Is True or Dream
Deep down Inside I Feel to Scream
this Terrible Silence Stops Me
Now That the War Is Through with Me
I'm Waking up I Can Not See
That There's Not Much Left of Me
Nothing Is Real but Pain Now

Hold My Breath as I Wish for Death
Oh Please God,wake Me

Back in the Womb its Much Too Real
in Pumps Life That I must Feel
but Can't Look Forward to Reveal
Look to the Time When I'll Live
Fed Through the Tube That Sticks in Me
Just like a Wartime Novelty
Tied to Machines That Make Me Be
Cut this Life off from Me

Hold My Breath as I Wish for Death
Oh Please God,wake Me

Now the World Is Gone I'm Just One
Oh God,help Me Hold My Breath as I Wish for Death
Oh Please God Help Me

Darkness

Imprisoning Me
All That I See
Absolute Horror
I Cannot Live
I Cannot Die
Trapped in Myself
Body My Holding Cell

Landmine

Has Taken My Sight
Taken My Speech
Taken My Hearing
Taken My Arms
Taken My Legs
Taken My Soul
Left Me with Life in Hell

Please view and comment amd let me know your thoughts abiut this song.

Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here

This is one of Pink Floyd's most well known and famous songs, taken from the album of the same name. This album is dedicated to Pink Floyd founding member Syd Barret and pays tribute to his creative genius which helped nurture the band in it's early days. Here again are the lyrics given below.

"Wish You Were Here"

So, so you think you can tell Heaven from Hell,
blue skies from pain.
Can you tell a green field from a cold steel rail?
A smile from a veil?
Do you think you can tell?
And did they get you to trade your heroes for ghosts?
Hot ashes for trees?
Hot air for a cool breeze?
Cold comfort for change?
And did you exchange a walk on part in the war for a lead role in a cage?
How I wish, how I wish you were here.
We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl, year after year,
Running over the same old ground.
What have we found? The same old fears.
Wish you were here.

I hope everyone enjoys this. And if if happen to view this video, PLEASE COMMENT!

Iron Maiden - The Longest Day

This song is from Iron Maiden's last album "A Matter Of Life and Death". The song deals with what happened on June 6th 1944(known as D-Day),when the Allied Invasion of France began to free mainland Europe from the clutches of Hitler's Nazi forces during the final years of World War II. The lyrics are told from a soldier's perspective as the Allied Forces of USA and the British Empire prepare to land on the heavily fortified beaches of Normandy in France. This video was made by a Maiden fan using clippings from the famous movie "Saving Private Ryan" by Steven Spielberg which begins with the Allied invasion of Normandy. As always I am posting the lyrics of the song below.

The Longest Day

[Smith / Harris / Dickinson]

In the gloom the gathering storm abates
In the ships gimlet eyes await
The call to arms to hammer at the gates
To blow them wide throw evil to its fate

All summers long the drills to build the machine
To turn man from flesh and blood to steel
From paper soldiers to bodies on the beach
From summer sends to Armageddon's reach

Overlord your master not your god
The enemy coast dawning grey with scud
These wretched souls puking shaking fear
To take a bullet for those who send them here

The world's all right the cliffs erupt in flame
No escape remorseless shrapnel rains
Drowning men no chance for a warrior's fate
A choking death enter hell's gates

Sliding we go only fear on our side
To the edge of the wire
And we rush with the tide
Oh the water is red
With the blood of the dead
But I'm still alive pray to God I survive

How long on this longest day
'Till we finally make it through
How long on this longest day
'Till we finally make it through

The rising dead faces bloated torn
They are relieved the living wait their turn
Your number's up the bullet's got your name
You still go on to hell and back again

Valhalla waits Valkyries rise and fall
The warrior tombs lie open for us all
A ghostly hand reaches through the wall
Blood and sand we will prevail

Sliding we go only fear on our side
To the edge of the wire
And we rush with the tide
Oh the water is red
With the blood of the dead
But I'm still alive pray to God I survive

How long on this longest day
'Till we finally make it through
How long on this longest day
'Till we finally make it through

How long on this longest day
'Till we finally make it through
How long on this longest day
'Till we finally make it through

Opeth - Burden

This song is by the Swedish band named Opeth.I happen to
really like this song and I hope so do you! I really haven't
been able to completely interpret and understand the lyrics
of this song but I think that the subject matter of the song
deals with a failed relationship. Once again, I am posting
lyrics below so that you can interpret it in your own way.
(Do let me know if you think otherwise)

Burden

I, once upon a time
Carried a burden inside
I sung a last goodbye
A broken rhyme I had underlined
There's an ocean of sorrow in you

A sorrow in me

I saw movement in their eyes
Thay said I no longer knew the way
I had given up the ghost
A passive mind submit to fear
And the wait for redemption at hand

Waiting to fail

Failing again

If death should take me now
Count my mistakes and let me through
Whisper in my ear
You've taken more than we've received
And the ocean of sorrow is you

BY THE WAY this song sounds nothing like the last one I posted SO
DONT BE AFRAID TO TRY IT OUT.

Hope you all enjoy it. As always, your comments/criticisms are
welcome.

"Theme Song" Now Available

This song, Make Them Suffer by Cannibal Corpse was the theme song
for our Counerstrike team for Blitzkrieg 2009. Befor playing any match,
we would all listen to this song to feel inspired and focussed(although
in the end it really didnt make much of a difference(rather, none at all!!))
.However,I was pretty shocked by the positive reception to the song
by my teammates(especially Debrup!) as I really didn't expect anyone
to like it. So, I have decided that I am going to make it available for
anyone to hearthoughI am not expecting too many praises about it.

WARNING:This song is heavy and brutal, some may not be able to
stomach it.

PS:And to all those who think that the singer makes no sense, I am posting
the lyrics below. Please try to follow.

Make Them Suffer

[Music by Pat O'Brien, Lyrics by Paul Mazurkiewicz]

Suffer

Extreme pain is what they need to feel for the rest of their lives
Misery and despair leaves their souls when infinity ends

Let them taste the wrath as the agony consumes them
Swallowed by the darkest light a blackened state of dismay
Survival is the only thing left for them
This grievous revelation is a new beginning
Led to the solution against their will

Deprivation thrives as the therapy continues
Sullen mastery is an answer uncontested
Denial is the only thing left for them
Life as they knew it is a distant memory
Scores of victims lust for apathy

Make them suffer
While they plead for cessation
Entirely demoralized and close to mass extinction
Damned to please supremacy
The reason for their martyrdom they will never know

Make them suffer
While they bleed through damnation
Begged for retribution before meeting with demise
Cursed by animosity
Once chosen for this mad ordeal there is no escape

[Solo: Pat O'Brien]

Domination reigns supreme the evil has no end
Spent of all their energy now worthless and degraded
Slow death is the only thing left for them
Physically and mentally devoid of dignity
Languished immortality

Make them suffer

While they plead for cessation
Entirely demoralized and close to mass extinction
Damned to please supremacy
The reason for their martyrdom they will never know

Make them suffer
While they bleed through damnation
Begged for retribution before meeting with demise
Cursed by animosity
Once chosen for this mad ordeal there is no escape

Make them suffer
Forever

FINALLY For those who think this is garbage and that even a punk
like you could do better, think again, lamebrain
